Cream of tartar

Cream of tartar, also known as potassium Bitartrate, is an acid salt, it’s a white powder without any specific flavour.

Cream of tartar is usually used in the food industry. It’s the additive under the name E-334, and its usage is broad as one of the ingredients for chemical yeast used in baking, in the wine industry to correct acid concentrations in the wine, but also for making fizzy drinks such as soda. It’s also added to candy, bonbons, chewing gums, vegetable preserves, marmalades, brines, sauces, dehydrated soups and other products.
