Elaboration
- Peel and cut the onion into julienne strips.
- Peel, clean and cut the carrot into julienne strips.
- Place the onion in a pan, add water, sugar and the margarine in cubes all over the onion.
- Cover and cook on low heat until onion is tender.
- Uncover and increase the heat until water is evaporated and the onion gets caramelized and takes a golden color.
- Steam the carrot.
