Category Mushrooms
Seasonal period: October, November

Death trumpets (Craterellus conucopioides), are also known as black trumpets or cornucopias.

Their contribution to cuisine is highly appreciated. They are eaten in their season, summer and autumn and dehydrated out of season, although they can also be found canned or frozen.

Dehydrated mushrooms go back to their original state very easily and the water from the rehydration can be added to make broths or add to the stews that will be made with them.
