Campari is a medium-gradealcohol, invigorating and refreshing cocktail that qualifies as an aperitif, with a distinctive red color and bitter taste.

Its unique taste comes from the combination of up to 60 different ingredients, including herbs, spices, zests and rinds. Among them, quinine, rhubarb, bitter orange and grapefruit stand out. According to the myth, its colour was obtained from turtle shell. Nowadays it is the cochineal the colorant used to get that red colour in liquors.

Its alcohol level is lower (28.5º) than other bitters, even if it belongs to this group.
