Seasonal period: All year

They are the biggest Cervidae. The ones that can be found in the peninsula are the dark brown coloured common deer of 120 cm and 127 kg.

They are characterized by their big branched horns of the males, which change annually. The older the deer is the more branches their antlers have. The common deer can be found in several ranges across the peninsula, mainly in the middle mountain ranges.

Their meat is tasty and tender in young specimens but it is chewier and with a stronger taste as they grow older.
